Anesthetic management of patients with systemic mastocytosis

Highlights

  • Systemic mastocytosis is the rare disease which develops anaphylactic symptoms by the medications and physical stimuli

  • We carried general anesthesia for the same patient with systemic mastcytosis twice.

  • First operation was stopped due to development of anaphylactic shock during operation procedure.

  • Second operation could finish safety with enhancement of pre-operation management.

  • We measured plasma concentration of histamine and tryptase in both of first and second operation.
